Lucky Misfire [for elans]
The parts of him that were practical and still very much tactically minded were screaming at him that this rendezvous was a bad idea. Bucky honestly had no idea who this Tammy girl was, and what she wanted other than what he hoped he'd interpreted from their texts. But he was a free man now, a person in a way he hadn't been for decades, and if he was going to make a mistake, it was going to be his mistake, dammit, and no one else's.
But it didn't feel like a mistake. Bucky had always believed he had good instincts with women, and his track record before and during the war seemed to bear that out. And Tammy didn't feel like things were going to go south. If they did, he'd be ready, of course.
The hotel he'd given her the address to was nice enough to be comfortable, but not so extravagant that it would make a stir, either with anyone who might spot him or the bean counters who'd see his expenses. At the knock on the door, Bucky confirmed through the peephole, then opened the door.
"Hi," he offered, waving his hand for the woman to enter.

It was a simple, but honest and succinct way of putting it. But he had a feeling that Tammy was the kind of person who'd get why he didn't think it needed elaborating. After all, he wanted her to think of him as a person, not... whatever an Avenger was.

It's not as if was commiting a crime for helping out, carefully she fucked a strand of hair behind her ear and bit her lower lip. "So...what do you like to do in these kind of situations?"

He smiles at Tammy's question. "I've never actually met someone the way I met you, Tammy. I suppose we should see if we like each other's company enough that this will be more than just a hello between people who've texted." At that, he got up and sat beside the girl, seeing how she reacted to his closeness.

"Well, that makes the two of us." She responded back with a smile of her own, sure she had texted with others but never for this specific purpose or due to the nature of the text she got. When he sat beside her, her smile widened a bit and she even shifted closer to barely brush against his side. "And how do you propose we find that out?"

His arm rose and then curled around the girl's shoulders in a classic gesture. "Are you opposed to a little kissing?" Bucky offered, figuring that one of them might as well just jump in with both feet. His head tilted a few inches towards Tammy's, but didn't go further, giving her the opening to close the distance if she wanted.
